The Little Ducks program is a paid, six-week program that will provide new players with on-ice sessions with professional coaches and Anaheim Ducks alumni! The Little Ducks program was developed as part of the National Hockey League's Learn to Play initiative, the joint effort by the NHL & NHL Players' Association (NHLPA) to make hockey more accessible.

Goals

  • Grow the game of hockey
  • Provide a fun & effective environment for learning & building character
  • Reduce cost barriers & safety concerns

Requirements

  • Participants must be 4-12 years of age
  • Previous skating experience
    • Participants must be able to skate from one end of the ice to the other on their own
    • If a child does not have prior skating experience, we suggest they first take part in the Anaheim Ducks Learn to Play program, the San Diego Gulls Learn to Play program or Learn to Skate classes offered through the facility they plan to participate with
  • First time players only
    • Children with any previous hockey program or league experience outside of the Anaheim Ducks or San Diego Gulls Learn to Play Hockey programs are not eligible to take part in Little Ducks.
